Womb™ Chair and Ottoman

Eero Saarinen for Knoll - 1946

The groundbreaking design of the Womb Chair and Ottoman for Knoll began with Florence Knoll’s request for “a chair that was like a basket full of pillows, something I could really curl up in”. The Womb Chair and Ottoman has an enveloping sculptural form reminiscent of Saarinen’s designs for the TWA Terminal at Kennedy Airport in New York and the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. The chair is available in three sizes.
